iOS Emulators for Android That Actually Work (2020 Edition)

by Ferdie Tan

iOS apps can be run on an Android device by using iOS Emulators for Android. Why would anyone want to run iOS apps on devices other than iPhone? The answer is pretty simple. Some of the apps and games are released on iOS before they eventually make their way towards Android. This delay in the launch on Android happens with most of the mobile games. If you lack enough patience to wait a few more days to allow the developers to bring their app on Android, you could use iOS Emulators designed for Android to try such apps.

iOS Emulators on Android are a pocket-friendly option to experience iPhones or iPads. While it’s true that you won’t be getting the real iPhone experience on an emulator, you could at least know how an app would feel if used on an iPhone.  Of course, you may encounter a lot of errors while using emulated apps but apart from that, they will just work. You sure won’t have access to all the advanced features that an app would offer on a real iPhone but nonetheless, you will enjoy using the basic ones. Keep in mind that emulation is a resource-demanding task so you might want to have at least 2GB of RAM and a quad-core processor on your device before trying out any of the iOS Emulators for Android.

iOS Emulators for Android aren’t officially available on the PlayStore. Therefore, you will have to download the apk files for these emulators from a third-party website (I use ApkPure, for instance). Installing apps from unknown sources is not a risk-free task but you are going to take chances this time. Out team has tested each of these iOS Emulators for Android and has found zero threat whatsoever but they still can’t ensure that no harm would come to you. I mean, you will be open to threats if you install anything not available on the PlayStore but our team didn’t detect anything malicious in these apps so I would say you are pretty safe. But please bear in mind that our team won’t be responsible if things go south after installing any of these apps.

iEMU

iEMU is the most powerful iOS Emulator that you could get for your Android device. The user interface is smooth and the setup process is a cakewalk. It won’t take up too much space on your storage device and won’t siphon off your juice and the best of all, it can run those iOS apps without being too heavy on your CPU. Gaming on an iOS Emulator for Android isn’t a great idea and this emulator does prove that. iEMU is an open-source application and the developers are continuously working to iron out the bugs so you will be getting regular updates. It’s still a work in progress but the developers have come a long way. Follow these steps to download iEMU for your Android device:

  1. Head to ApkPure and download iEMU’s apk file.
  2. From ‘Settings’, make sure that installing apps from unknown sources is enabled.
  3. Install iEMU and restart your device.
  4. An app named ‘Padiod’ will show up on your device.
  5. Launch ‘Padiod’ and that’s your iPhone booting up.

CIDER

CIDER is one of the best iOS Emulators for Android. Not all Android devices are compatible with CIDER so make sure that CIDER is supported on your device before you proceed to download. Compatibility won’t be an issue if you own a smartphone released after mid-2019 or a flagship piece from one of those phone giants. Here’s how you can download CIDER:

  1. Head to APKPure’s catalog and find CIDER’s apk file.
  2. The installation process is similar to any other app.
  3. Run the app. Enjoy your iPhone experience with CIDER.

Appetize

Want to run iSO apps right off the web? Appetize is a web-based iOS Emulator and you can use iOS on anything (even a toaster) with a web browser at appetize.io. If there’s one emulator that works fine on a web browser, it’s Appetize. With Appetize, you don’t have to worry about the risks involved with installing third-party applications. Start using those iOS apps right off Google Chrome on your Android! Make sure that you have the latest version of Java installed on your PC before visiting the website. This online emulator is supported by JavaScript and HTML 5.
